Dr. Conrad Murray, physician to the late Pop icon, Michael Jackson, was found guilty for involuntary manslaughter by California jurors Monday afternoon.
After six long weeks of deliberation, and 49 questioned witnesses, including but not limited to Murrays past girlfriends, clients, friends and employees; the jury decided Murray was guilty due to the careless administering of the powerful drug, Propofol. Murray is expected to complete a maximum sentence of 4 years in prison, though he could be eligible for house arrest, or a reduced, two year sentence. In addition, because of the overcrowding in California state prisons, Murray will be serving time in a county jail.
Members of the Jackson family are allowed to speak during the November 29 sentencing at 8:30 a.m.
Well for starters, we’re glad that’s over. Justice is served and our beloved Michael can now completely rest in peace. We’re pretty sure LaToya will be first in line to speak at the sentencing as she gave a very emotional scream in the courthouse when the verdict was read.
Anyway, in the meantime, poor Conrad will be living it up, without bail, in a county jail until the sentence date.
